Dr. Sandra Hernandez – CEO and Founder of Dr. Sandy’s Joy and Wellness, LLC. Dr. Sandra Hernandez is a dedicated, passionate, and accomplished leader committed to SERVICE, EQUITY, JOY, and WELLNESS. As the CEO and Founder of Dr. Sandy’s Joy and Wellness, LLC, she empowers individuals and organizations through leadership, education, and well-being initiatives.

A Salvadorean immigrant and a product of poverty, Dr. Hernandez's journey is one of resilience and determination. From a young age, she aspired to be a bilingual teacher, knowing firsthand the power of education in transforming lives. As a first-generation college student, she worked multiple jobs to support herself through community college before earning her undergraduate degree from California State University, Los Angeles. She continued her academic journey, earning two master’s degrees from California State University, Los Angeles and Northridge, and ultimately, a Doctorate from the University of Massachusetts Global.

Dr. Hernandez's passion for bi-literacy and educational equity led her to become a bilingual teacher, earning the prestigious National Board Certification. Over the years, she has served in various educational and leadership roles, including: Elementary School Teacher, Dance Coach, Gifted and Talented Student Coordinator, Instructional Coach for English Learners, Assistant Principal and Principal (Public and Charter Schools), Project Director for Curriculum & Instruction at the county level.
In her most recent role, she worked collaboratively with the State of California and the Department of Education to develop curriculum and instructional strategies that impact students across the state.

A celebrated leader and community advocate, Dr. Hernandez’s leadership has earned her numerous recognitions, including: Diamond Award – Los Angeles Unified School District, 2022 (for outstanding leadership as principal), OASIS Center International Recognition, 2021 (for contributions to education and the arts), Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Certificate, 2023, Featured on Ed Branding Podcast, 2023, Guest Appearance on Noticias 62 for International Women’s Day, 2022.

Since 2021, she has proudly served as a Board Member for OASIS Center International, furthering her mission to uplift communities through education, leadership, service, and the arts. A life rooted in joy and wellness, beyond her professional achievements, Dr. Hernandez finds true joy in her family. She loves spending time with her daughter, Soleil, and her sons, Justin and Matthew, and her husband Robert, along with their two beloved dogs, Sky and Luna.

She is a firm believer that leading with joy and wellness is central to impactful leadership. In her free time, she enjoys music, dance, strength training, reading, and writing. Never forgetting her roots, Dr. Hernandez remains deeply committed to giving back to her community, supporting families in need, mentoring future leaders, and advocating for educational equity.
